Rashtriya Military School (Erstwhile King George's School) Dholpur was raised as the fifth and the youngest Rashtriya Military School on 16 Jul 1962. Its inaugural ceremony was performed on 18 Aug 1962 by Late Shri KV Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister. The School is housed in the Kesarbagh Palace, a magnificent mansion of the former ruler of the erstwhile Dholpur estate. The city of Dholpur (also spelled Dhaulpur) is located on the National Highway No 3 equidistance between Agra and Gwalior and on the Central Railway Main Line.
Rashtriya Military School, Dholpur is a fully residential school and run on public school lines and is part of IPSC. School follow CBSE curricular and prepares its cadets. The school prepares its cadets for All India Secondary School Exam (Class X) and All India Senior School Certificate Exam (Class XII) under 10+2 pattern of education of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The academic session starts from 01 Apr and terminates on 31 Mar each year.
