Rashtriya Military School Dholpurhas well-equipped laboratories .The school has two labs each for Physics and Chemistryand one for Biology. RMSD has also two computer labs.
1.Physics Labs
The Schoolhas a well-equipped Physics Lab with the modern amenities like video projector, smart board and all equipment related to practicals, which enables cadets to get new techniques and methods of learning to face the challenges of rapidly changing scientific world. This is the place wherein cadets get an opportunity to implement their ideas into reality. To give wings to learning, it becomes pertinent that the cadets must be exposed to the latest methodologies. Physics lab has the capacity of accommodating 35-40 cadets at a time. It is well maintained and teachers along with supporting staff are committed to provide the best experimental knowledge to the cadets to excel in the world of competition and competence.
2.Chemistry Labs
TheSchoolhas a well-equipped spacious chemistry lab and a separate room for keeping the potentially hazardous chemicals. The well lit,ventilated lab is fitted with exhausts. Apart from necessary chemicals & apparatus, it is equipped with centrifuge chemical balances. Around 40 cadets can work in the lab at a given time. The teacher as well as a lab attendant is always there to help and instruct.
3.Biology Lab
The Biology lab of the school caters to classes VI to XII. The spacious and well-ventilated lab can accommodate 35-40cadets at a time. There are 30 compound microscopes and the same number of dissection microscopes .The various models and life size skeletons along with a large number of preserved specimen charts and readymade OHP transparencies make the lab a centre of learning for students. The lab is well-equipped with oven, water bath and centrifugal. There is provision for storing all the chemicals needed for practicals as well as space for test tubes, slides, cover slips, beakers, flasks and so on.
4.Computer Labs
The school has two computers labs, one in the academic block to accommodate a class of about 40 cadets. Another lab has been established in the residential block of the school to provide internet and computer facilities to the Cadets after the school hours and to conduct extra classes.
The Computer Labs are well resourced with high-speed central servers and the latest educational software (with adequate security and safety features). Every cadet has access to a terminal in the lab. We also teach our children about personal safety in the use of social media to ensure they are fully aware of the health and social risks involved. Both the labs are used extensively for researchby both the cadets and the teachers.
