Besides learning to physically protect themselves, we teach the cadets to develop mental strength. We show them that there are better ways to solve tough situations. CROSS COUNTRY
As Rashtriya Military School, Dholpur is a feeder institute to the Indian Defence Forces, the school trained the cadets in the same comportment so that the cadets could easily cope up with the harsh situations at the border during difficulties. In association with this the school has a better surrounding to provide revelation to the cadets for the same. The school is surrounded with a small forest, uneven surfaces and sloppy paths. Our PT instructors every day morning take the cadets for five kilometres cross country running and give in detail how does it helps in the defence forces as well as in civil life in difficult situations. Running on soft ground requires a higher knee lift. Running up hills and stony roads have various benefits, as detailed in this blog post on the benefits of hill running. Cross country running also makes cadets mentally tougher; if they can race on the country, racing on the roads is easy.

Our PT instructors along with House Masters, House Tutors, Hostel superintendents and school authorities join with the cadets at the football ground at 1600 hrs and actively take part along with the cadets. Table Tennis is the best brain sport ever. It is highly aerobic, uses both the upper and lower body, is great for eye hand coordination and reflexes, and causes cadets to use many different areas of the brain at once as you are tracking the ball, planning shots and strategies, and figuring out spins.
